The only reason Charter House, the organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, gave the overall artiste of the year award to Diana Hamilton was to retaliate against 3Music Awards for raising the bar, according to Ezekiel Tetteh, a supposed board member of 3Music Awards and an ally of the management of 3Music Awards.
His remarks came only hours after Diana Hamilton was named artiste of the year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards’ 22nd edition.
Kuami Eugene, Medikal, Sarkodie, and Kidi were all defeated.
The debate is over Kidi’s victory, which some believe he should have won.
3 Music held its awards months before the VGMA, and it was one production that received a lot of praise for the hard work that went into it.
