Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, also known as Davido, has turned to social media to express his grief over Wizkid’s mother’s passing, whom we reported dead yesterday.
Yesterday, August 18th, 2023, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known as Wizkid, lost his biological mother to the icy grip of death.
Wizkid’s mother died about 1:30 p.m. on Friday, according to his manager, Sunday Aare.
As of the time of writing, Wizkid has yet to break his silence following his mother’s death.
Despite their industrial rivalry of over ten years, Davido, via his verified Twitter handle today, August 19th 2023, mourns the death of Wizkid’s mother, fully aware that Wizkid is in a state of grief.
Davido expressed sympathy for Wizkid, writing, “Praying for you my brother @wizkidayo Sadness flies away on the wings of time.??.”
