In 2015, Foulk discussed with WATE the overwhelming support he received from the community during his battle with colon cancer.

“I choose to be transparent about cancer because melanoma claimed my mother and prostate cancer claimed my father,” he shared with WATE. “My openness stems from the hope that someone might hear me discuss it, be candid about the experience, find some levity in it, and decide to undergo a checkup.”

By openly sharing his personal experience, Foulk aimed to encourage others to prioritize their health and undergo necessary medical screenings, emphasizing the importance of early detection and proactive healthcare.
