Converting to Islam has restricted me from doing lots of things, I’m suffering – Akuapem Poloo cries out

Akuapem Poloo recently spoke about her difficulties in adapting to the Islamic religion. She used to be a Christian and had certain habits that are not allowed in Islam. This has caused her to struggle with reconciling her past behaviors with her new beliefs.

Poloo explained that going to the Mosque has changed her mindset and behavior. She can no longer engage in twerking and other wild dances that were part of her previous persona. This has caused an internal conflict for her as she tries to align her actions with her newfound religious beliefs.

Despite the challenges, Akuapem Poloo has found that embracing Islam has opened doors of opportunity for her. She was able to fulfill her long-time dream of meeting the National Chief Imam, an esteemed figure in the Islamic community. Through her conversion, she had the privilege of engaging with the Chief Imam and experiencing a profound sense of fulfillment.

Poloo also shared a memorable experience where her status as a Muslim earned her respect and a special invitation to the Suhum Odwira Festival. This cultural event provided her with a unique opportunity to interact with high-profile individuals, including the Vice-President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
