Marie-Claire Rupio is the widow of Christian Atsu, a Ghanaian soccer player who passed away in a tragic earthquake in Turkey.
Rupio posted a video of herself dancing happily to a Nigerian song by Davido called “Unavailable.”
Some people on social media are upset that Rupio is dancing and having fun after the death of her husband.
Rupio said she was hesitant to post the video, but she is trying to return to her old self. As a middle schooler, it can be hard to understand why someone would be upset about someone else dancing.
She wrote;
“-unavailable
I was hesitating to post this , as I am just trying to get up into dancing again…slowly”
But some people think that Rupio should still be sad and mourning the loss of her husband.
However, it’s important to remember that everyone grieves differently and there is no right or wrong way to do it. Rupio is allowed to have fun and enjoy herself, even after a tragedy. It’s essential to support and encourage people to do what makes them happy, especially during difficult times.
