Chairman Wontumi Set To Buy Chelsea After Club Owner Put It Up For Sale
The owner of Chelsea Football Club (CFC), Roman Abramovich, is on the verge of selling the club due to the escalating conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
This comes after he received outrage and criticism from the media for not having a say in the conflict despite his clout, and he is also known to be close to Vladimir Putin.
He is selling the club in order to use the proceeds to recompense and assist victims of the ongoing violence in Ukraine.
He’s demanding £3 billion for the club. Chairman Wontumi of the NPP for Ashanti Region is reported to be a Chelsea fanatic, and given his fortune, he appears to be interested in purchasing the club.
He even admitted to buying Ronaldo for Kotoko, so what makes you think he can’t buy Chelsea? Wontumi is eligible to participate in the race to buy the club.
