Businessman breaks record as he marries 7 women on the same day with Two of them being biological sisters
On September 10, 2023, businessman Ssaalongo Nsikonenne Habib Ssezzigu married seven women simultaneously in Bugereka village, Mukono County, Uganda.
Two of these brides are biological sisters, which is noteworthy. The brides were treated to salon treatments before being escorted in special vehicles labeled with their names at 8 a.m.
Following the exchange of vows, a magnificent parade through Kalagi, Kasana, and Nakifuma arrived at their residence at 6 p.m. to a jubilant audience.
The wedding began with a celebratory concert, which left observers speechless at the unparalleled spectacle. The brides received brand-new cars, including Mariam, Madinah, Aisha, Zainabu, Fatuma, Rashida, and Musanyusa (Habib’s first wife of seven years).
Their seats were thoughtfully labeled at the reception. Habib conveyed his thankfulness by emphasizing the peaceful relationship between his wives and their unity as one huge, happy family.
Given his young age, Habib hinted at the prospect of having more wives in the future. The groom’s father, Hajj Abdul Ssemakula, underlined the family’s ancient tradition of polygamy, referring to his grandfather’s six wives divided by curtains in a single residence.
This momentous event broke the Ugandan record for simultaneous marriages, making it a day to remember.
