A bench warrant has been issued by the Sekondi High Court for the arrest of Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey, Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency.
This lawsuit follows after the Member of Parliament and mother of singer Fantanafor allegedly insulted the law court in her dual-citizenship case.
The warrant was issued by Her Ladyship Sedina Agbemeve, the presiding Judge in her appeal case since the Member of Parliament failed to present documentation of renunciation of her Ivorian citizenship.
On September 23, the court asked her to show documentation substantiating her allegation that she relinquished her Ivory Coast citizenship before running for the Ghanaian House of Representatives.
Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey has been skipping court appearances since September 23rd, much to the judge’s chagrin.
Her Ladyship Sedina Agbemeve issued a bench warrant for her arrest today after she failed to appear in court numerous times.
