“Borrow money from MTN before the block the sim cards for failing to register”- Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah
Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah, a media personality, has urged Ghanaians to borrow money from MTN Quick Loan before the SIM registration period expires.
This was stated by the former Happy FM presenter during an interview with Kofi Adoma Nwawani on KOFI TV.
Mr. Afrifa, a supporter of the #FixTheCountry campaign, argued that telcos have no right to block anyone’s SIM card if they fail to register.
According to him, if the telcos try to take that action, which is supported by the government, they will lose a lot of money.
In his submission, he urged Ghanaians to apply for a GHS 500 loan from MTN by mid-March to see if their SIM cards could be blocked.
Okatakyie Afrifa also stated that he will sue the government and telecommunications companies if his number is blocked by the end of the registration period.
