Ghanaian sensation At the 16th Headies, which were held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Hi-Life music superstar Black Sherif was named Best West African Artist.
The musician outperformed rivals from the West African region, including Camidoh, Gyakie, and fellow countrymen.
Black Sherif expressed his gratitude to his African fans in general and to Konongo Zongo in particular after receiving the award.
“Thank you so much to the fans, to the listeners. Thank you Headies, thank you Nigeria Thank you Ghana, thank you Konongo Zongo, I love you,” he said.
Afrobeats performers included Ayra Starr, Asake, Rema, Victony, KCee, Oxlade, Johnny Drille, Blaqbonez, Spyro, Seyi Vibez, and FireBoyDML at the 16th Headies Awards.
