Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian dancehall artiste, has become a laughingstock among Ghanaian and Nigerian netizens after being named one of the top five most-streamed Ghanaian artists on Boomplay.
Despite making it into the top five, his position in terms of the number of songs released on the platform has some social media users applauding him.
According to the information released on the top five most-streamed artists in Ghana, Sarkodie has 60.3 million streams from 271 songs, while Stonebwoy is second with 40.2 million from 184 songs.
Black Sherif ranked third with 35.7 million views from just ten songs, while Shatta Wale ranked fourth with 34.9 million streams from 967 songs.
Kidi, the “Touch It” hitmaker, rounded out the top five with 29.1 million streams across 42 songs.
