Kumawood actress Benedicta Gafah recently posted a video of herself at a local hospital getting tested for HIV and it was quite shocking given that no one ever gets tested for HIV and then broadcasts the results online.
She says she was forced to take the test because one of her followers sent her a lot of direct messages asking about her HIV status. This was in response to rumors that the person had read that she had the virus on the internet.
According to Benedicta, this is not the first time she has received a message like this from a fan. As a result, she has decided to make her HIV status publicly known in the hopes of discouraging other people from sending her direct messages with the same questions.
The following is what she captioned the video:
“Received a DM this morning from someone asking me if it’s tru I’m HIV positive and it’s something he/she heard. So I quickly drove to 37 (Military Hospital) and I was assured the results would be in this evening. Posting this because it isn’t the 1st time I’ve received such a message in my DM,”
After some time had passed, she posted the findings online, and thankfully for everyone, the result was negative.
