“Beef is a waste of energy and time” – Popular singer, Efya reveals why she doesn’t beef with colleagues
Ghanaian artist Jane Awindor, widely known as Efya, has become a beacon of positivity in an industry plagued by drama and controversy.
In an interview on TV3’s Ladies Circle, the multi-award-winning singer shared her philosophy of not engaging in negativity and instead focusing on her passions, such as farming.
She explained that “Everybody likes it when there is beef but I don’t feed into that, it is a waste of so much energy, I could be farming, it’s something I’m interested in,” she told the hosts.
She emphasized the futility of feeding into rumors and baseless controversies, stating that it only wastes energy that could be better spent on more meaningful pursuits.
“So I don’t pay attention to the controversy so you are talking to yourself. This is something I’ve learned over time,” she noted.
Efya acknowledged that she has faced her fair share of criticism and rumors, but she has learned to ignore them, knowing that they come from people who lack understanding of her experiences and journey.
In the words of Efya, “When I was younger, a lot of people will say things about me that they don’t know anything about. A lot of people will talk in a certain way not knowing what I’ve been through,”
