Chinyere Awuda’s body was discovered beside an abandoned swimming pool on the premises of a prominent hotel in Awka.
The 30-year-old victim, a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, who died on July 15 after allegedly being battered to death at a hotel, was buried amid tears on Saturday.
Awuda was beaten to death by a crowd after being accused of picking up money being sprayed during a birthday party.
Old classmates, friends, and family members who remembered her as a calm and lovable person attended her funeral.
Mr. and Mrs. Awuda, the deceased’s parents, could not hold back their tears as they regretted their daughter’s death, saying it was a “undeserved death” for their daughter.
