The Atwea Mountains in Ghana have been a sacred place for Christians seeking the face of God. It is a place where people go to pray and wait upon the Lord.
However, according to Prophet Kumchacha, a popular Ghanaian pastor, the Atwea Mountains have been invaded by evil spirits.
Prophet Kumchacha revealed that the Atwea Mountains have lost their glory. The place where people used to go to seek the face of God is now full of evil spirits.
The Atwea Mountains are situated in the Sekyere Central District of the Ashanti region and are one of the most visited highlands in Ghana by Christian pilgrims.
According to historians, the Act began many decades ago when a local Methodist pastor in Atwea named Abraham Osei-Assibey climbed the Atwea Bour (Atwea Stone) to go and pray to the Lord.
However, the Man of God questioned the existence of the supposed holy ground and wondered if people still go there. Does Atwea Mountain still exist? What am I going to do there? Does God live in the mountains?
Prophet Kumchacha alleged that the place which used to be a holy ground has now become a prostitution ground. Many people go there to have sex with their girlfriends, while others go there to sleep with people’s wives. He warned that anyone who goes there goes to pick up evil spirits and witchcraft.
