“Asamoah Gyan should be in the team playing not leading jama”- Sonnie Badu
Sonnie Badu, founder and leader of the American-based church Rockhill International, has taken to social media to ask some interesting questions about the absence of former Blackstars captain Asamoah Gyan from the camp of the team as they prepare for the FIFA World Cup 2022.
The musician revealed his confusion about Asamoah Gyan’s actions in a post that he made on his Instagram page. In the post, he said that he didn’t know why Gyan was leading jama sessions with spectators instead of being at the Black Stars’ camp at this important time.
On Tuesday, September 27, 2022, early in the morning, a video of Asamoah Gyan appearing quite hyper and singing a number of jama songs was uploaded to social media for the first time. His statements followed the reaction that was seen on social media to this video.
In an effort to convey his surprise at the fact that Asamoah Gyan was in charge of these jama sessions, he inquired as to if the reason for excluding him from the squad was political.
The artist responsible for the hit song “Wonder God” emphasized that many other teams have senior players who have played key roles in their various teams in previous years working tirelessly with their present teams to assist them in succeeding at the 2022 World Cup. These players have been working with their current teams to help them succeed.
In conclusion, he requested that the GFA help get Gyan into shape and provide guidance to the new players on the team because the majority of them had most likely seen him play in the past and admired him.
