Ashanti Gold, a Ghana Premier League team, was ambushed by armed robbers on their way from Accra to Obuasi following their league match versus Hearts of Oak on Sunday night.
There were no injuries or fatalities, according to the club’s Twitter feed, although the bandits shot three rounds at the bus in the process.

According to Twitter, the intruders shot three rounds through the front bulletproof glass as “the team driver meandered his way through a horrific scene of shooting.”
Fortunately, no serious injuries occurred. Furthermore, the statement stated that “the entire team is currently safe in Obuasi.”
