Appiatse Explosion: 3 Babies born at the relief camp
Three couples evacuated to the Appiatse relief camp, which was founded following the terrible explosion on January 20, have welcomed three baby infants, according to some exciting news from Bogoso.
According to GNA, the babies were doing well and in good health, according to the area’s Assemblymember, Mr Thomas Yaw.
According to reports, he stated that the newborns had become a side attraction for many well-wishers who had gone to the camp to help the residents relax.
“Ekua Appiatse is the first kid to be born here,” Mr. Yaw says, “and there are similarly expectant moms who we are looking forward to putting to bed in safety.”
Meanwhile, Janet Amartey, a mother of a two-month-old infant, believes that if more large accommodations were available, living at the camp would be more meaningful.
The Appiatse accident claimed the lives of roughly 13 people and injured hundreds more, as well as displacing dozens of families.
The Maxam firm, which made the explosives, had been shut down since then.
The government has levied a six-million dollar fine on them.
