Akuapem Poloo ‘in tears’ as she shows the kiosk she slept in as she recounts her hard times
“Oluwa is involved,” actress Akuapem Poloo revealed while sharing personal details about her humble beginnings.
The actress, who was born in Suhum in the Eastern Region 31 years ago, said she lived in abject poverty as a child with a single mother.
She revealed that she struggled to eat every day and began playing football in elementary school.
At the time, she was staying in a kiosk owned by her mother, which also doubled as a makeshift saloon when the sun came up.
Poloo revealed in an Instagram post that she “perched” in the kiosk until she graduated from Senior High School (SHS).
She posted photos of the wooden kiosk, which was nearly empty except for a few hair products on a table.
Every time I look at this picture, I cry. This picture will help you understand why I will never give up in life when life hits you so hard that you have to play football to get money to eat in the village. Never compare us to the rich kids. We are the real hustlers, and we are still hustling. “OLUWA IS INVOLVED. “
