Akwaboah, a prolific Ghanaian vocalist, has revealed that he wrote all of the lyrics to his hit song ‘Obiaa,’ including the part sung by Cina Soul.
“A song like obiaa, which I did with Cina Soul, I wrote all the lyrics, including the part she sang,” he told Amansan Krakye.
“I taught her how to do it,” he continued, “but it got to the point where she asked if she could add some melodies, which I allowed her.”
When asked about the hit song “Obiaa” from his Lighthouse EP, Akwaboah revealed that he wrote all of the lyrics before going into the studio with Cina Soul to record it.
“I think it’s very good and brilliant to have such a wonderful activity in the studio as long as I know she can sing very well,” he said.
But as for the lyrics, I wrote everything before we got to the studio and did the music. It’s nice being in the studio together, “he concluded on Kastle FM in Cape Coast.”
