Netizens have reacted strongly to a viral video depicting a Nigerian man assaulting his wife while forcibly brushing her teeth.
In the viral video, the young man can be seen assisting his wife, who is said to be a mother of three, in brushing her teeth. When she attempts to fight back or stop him, he hits her with punches and slaps at regular intervals.
The woman was identified as Zahidat by a social media user who recorded the incident and uploaded it on the internet.
Zahidat has been brutally tormented by her husband for over a decade, according to Instagram user @PJ Somie, and she deserves justice since she is psychologically, physically, and emotionally tired.
“This is Zahidat a mother of three the man bru***ing her is her husband this has been going on for over 8years now she needs justice please she’s drained mentally, physically, and emotionally she can’t talk any longer only God knows if this man has cut her tongue this is just wickedness this man needs to be put in his place she really needs help please”. The Instagram user wrote.
Another person close to the couple added, “They’ve been married for eight years and have three children together.” He’s always abusing her, and we’ve done everything to stop him.”
While it’s unclear why the man felt compelled to assist an adult woman with brushing her teeth, the video arouses indignation among social media users.
