a widow who pushes wheel truck full of gallons of water every day as her job finally gets help
A Kenyan lady has received some help from well-meaning folks after images and videos of her carrying a handcart holding water jerrycans went popular on social media.
The lady has been commended for taking up a profession that many people assumed was exclusive to males.
On June 10, 2021, philanthropist Wanja Mwaura published the tale of Everlyn Ndinyuka on Facebook for the first time.
Wanja requested assistance in identifying a lady who was seen in Dagoretti, Kenya, transporting jerrycans of water in a handcart.
The benefactor was able to locate the woman and paid her a visit on June 14 with a group of well-wishers.
Ndinyuka, she claims, lives in a single room with five children. Two of them are the children of her late sister, and one is her nephew.
During the visit, the well-wishers discovered that Ndinyuka’s body had taken a toll from dragging the handcart.
Wanja then asked for donations to assist the woman to get out of her predicament.
