“If the old men are disgracing us in parliament what will the youth also do”- Vim lady reacts to fight in parliament
Afia Pokua, popularly known as Vim Lady, has slammed members of Parliament for their impolite behavior.
Brawls erupted between members of Ghana’s Parliament on Monday night, just before a final vote on a contentious electronic transfer levy bill known as e-levy was scheduled to take place in Parliament.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, members of Parliament can be seen trading punches as the rest of the room looks on.
This terrible behavior by MPs has been going on for a long time, and they can’t seem to come to an agreement whenever they present a measure to Parliament for approval.
In response, Vim Lady labeled their actions as heinous. Vim Lady was perplexed as to why adult men would fight over a little issue. “When our fathers and uncles FIGHT in PARLIAMENT, how do you expect the young ones to RESPECT them? SHAME ON YOU ALL,” She wrote in the post.
