J.J Rawlings’ death: General Afrifa’s Son “Praises” God
The death of former President Jerry John Rawlings has brought about mixed reactions as many people have different perceptions about the country’s long-serving leader.
While his loyalists are seriously mourning and wishing him farewell, others whose relatives were subjects to the ex-military officer’s brutality during his military rule also sees his death as revenge and they are dwelling on it to make merry.
General Afrifa’s Son, Akwasi Amankwa Afrifa has aired out his views about the death of Rawlings and it happens he has also joined the anti-J.J campaign who are jubilating over his death since his father was one of many who suffered during the JJ era.
In a post on social media, Akwasi Amankwa wrote; “Oh…. What a Happy Day…. Two Minute Hate’‘. In another post, he expressed; “My name is Akwasi Amankwa Afrifa Akoto. And I approve this death- Two Minute Hate”. He also indicated that death should have being super-hard on Rawlings.
Akoto Afrifa is not the first to be rejoicing over the death of the former president who brought forth multiparty elections in the country; making ghana’s democracy one of the most stable in Africa.
Recall, General Acheampong’s daughter, Nana Serwaa took to Facebook and in a lengthy note, she jubilated over the death and ironically lamented due to what she calmed was an easy death for Rawlings.
