An overseas-based Nigerian woman has resorted to social media in anguish after discovering that all of the money she had been sending home to her brother had been squandered.
In a video, the distraught woman claimed that she had given her brother money to purchase property in their hamlet and construct a house for the family, but he had failed to do so.
She sobbed furiously as she described how he continued making excuses when she requested for a progress update on the construction project.
Her brother informed her that he couldn’t send images since he didn’t have a decent phone, so she gave him money to get one.
When she requested for confirmation that work had begun, he stalled again, claiming that his kid had ruined his phone, so she offered him money to purchase a new one.
She attempted to contact him for an update after he allegedly purchased a new phone, but he refused to answer her calls.
According to her, the event occurred in November, and despite the N700,000 she provided him for the house’s foundation, he wasted it all.
She became so concerned that she called a friend in Nigeria, who sent her father to visit her brother, where she saw him drinking and socializing with pals.
Speaking further on what he did wrong, she said that when she requested for the property paperwork, he began making weak reasons and refused to give them to their mother since his sister, who is overseas, still owed her money.
