A 27-year-old lady is accused of beheading her 35-year-old husband Lartey Daniel in a weird incident at Tei Glover, a farming community near Akyem Bosuso in the Eastern Region’s Fanteakwa South District.
Rachel Tetteh, the suspect, was apprehended by police, and the decapitated body was taken to the mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
According to information reaching us, the pair had a quarrel, and as the husband was heading to the farm, the suspect pursued him and allegedly shoved him to the ground, then grabbed hold of the cutlass and cut off his head.
DSP Ebenezer Tetteh, the Eastern Regional Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, had police dispatched investigators to the scene after receiving information about the crime.
According to him, police discovered the deceased’s lifeless body in ash trousers over a white T-shirt, dead in a prone posture in a pool of blood with a severed head beside the farm’s footpath.
The crime scene was inventoried, and the body was examined.
The body was recovered and taken to the Akyem Tafo Government Hospital Morgue, where it will be autopsied.
Rachel Tetteh, the culprit, was arrested and the cutlass she used to conduct the horrible murder was recovered, according to DSP Ebenezer Tetteh.
The suspect is presently being held by the police and is collaborating with the investigation.
