A Nigerian university student has been reported missing after allegedly skipping out of her graduation ceremony to see a male friend in another town.
Omowunmi Akinwade, a 25-year-old Olabisi Onabanjo University student, Ago Iwoye, a fresh graduate, has gone missing after visiting a male friend in Sagamu, Ogun State.
Omowunmi was supposed to leave Ago Iwoye on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, after her convocation ceremony to meet a friend, but she never showed up.
According to a male acquaintance named Paul Eto, the last time he spoke to her was when she called to tell him she was near Sagamu.
According to the friend, he told her the exact intersection to stop at so he could come and pick her up. He later claimed that his phone was on quiet when she called him six times.
He also said that he had called her back, but she had not returned his call. He kept calling her phone number till the next day when he went to the police station to report the event.
He also informed her relatives that their daughter might have gone missing.
