The TV program revealed the tale of a 15-year-old kid who was sentenced to jail for stealing GHS20 after police lied to the court about his age.
Busumuru Sean Kingston, a blogger and publicist, published the tragic story, slamming the Ghanaian court and the police officers for their inhumanity.
Busumuru Sean Kingston appealed to officials and Ghana’s President to pardon the youngster.
“I’m even sick now! Because of ghs20, this little boy stole from a kenkey seller. If a policeman lie to a judge that this little boy is 18 years for him to be jailed for 2 years whereas the real pen and paper thieves walk freely then we are not safe! Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo and various stakeholders should intervene in this little boy’s case to set him free.”
