Election 2020: Zanetor Rawlings wins Korle Klottey seat again
With a vote count of 39,193, Zanetor Rawlings – daughter of the late JJ Rawlings – has retained her seat as she has been declared the winner once again for the Korle Klottey parliamentary seat.
The NDC candidate managed to win her constituency with a close gap from her opponent Prince Appiah Debrah of the NPP who also had 31,239 votes.
Zanetor Rawlings filed her first nomination in 2015 to contest the Korle Klottey parliamentary primaries after numerous calls on her for her political involvement and she ran against incumbent Nii Armah Ashittey and Leeford Kpakpo Quarshie.
The Doctor cum politician won the November 10, 2015 primaries for Korley Klottey and went ahead to win the seat in the December 7, 2016 elections.
She has won again this year 2020 making it her second time – meaning she has not yet faced defeat ever since she ventured into politics. We wish her all the best of luck.
