Young man vows to never return home after selling his family’s land for 60 million to relocate abroad
A young Nigerian man has taken to social media to admit that he sold his family’s farm and used the proceeds to escape.
The individual, who goes by the Twitter handle @dangbanamanager, claimed to have sold the land for N60 million and then fled to the United Kingdom, where he has lived since.
Because of what he had done, he preferred to stay in London rather than return to his hometown of Ijebu-Ososa, Ogun State.
He told the anecdote in response to a tweet asking, “What’s the highest credit alert you’ve ever received all at once?”
The tweet drew a lot of attention from netizens who were wondering how he pulled off the hoax.
He penned;
“We received 60 million naira for the sale of our family’s land.” That’s why I haven’t returned to Ososa in all these years.”
