Shugar Kwame, a young Ghanaian man, must be cursing his stars for making a simple error that cost him a hefty Ghc70,000 at Italy vs England match.
While driving by in his Range Rover, the young man acknowledged in a viral video that he had invested Ghc70,000 on a straight win for Italy over England.
In betting, a straight win means your team must win the match at the end of 90 minutes of play, however, the Italy versus England contest went to extra time.
After 90 minutes, England had one goal and Italy had one goal, meaning the game would go into extra time and possibly a penalty shootout.
Shugar Kwame would have walked away with a massive Ghc220,500 if Italy had defeated England in 90 minutes of play, but because he was not clever enough to gamble a win for Italy instead of a straight win, he lost a nice investment.
