Fadel Asuma Banda, the son of Alhaji Asuma Banda, was arrested by the Airport Police a few days ago after breaking into his father’s Airport Residential home with two others.
Fadel Asuma Banda and two other accomplices, Aliu Bello, 28, and Suleman Mohammed, 36, were arrested in Accra after storming the home of the CEO of the Antrak Group of Companies.
Videos of Fadel and about 20 men crushing the main gate with a concrete block and bursting into the building went viral, sparking outrage on social media.
Fadel is said to have clarified why he did so because he had been denying access to his father after his return from the United Kingdom.
Billionaire Alhaji Asuma Banda, who is on his deathbed, responded violently to the news by negotiating with the police to grant him a wish: that they shoot his son anytime they see him on his compound.
He has mentioned that he requires increased protection on his property in order to avoid such incidents in the future.
