“You are friends why are you doing this?” the Last words of Ishmael were revealed by teenage killers in court.

Two teens murdered a 10-year-old kid in Kasoa, Central Region, according to the Kaneshie District Court.

During the hearing, Felix Nyarko aka Yaw Anane described how he and his accomplice, Nicholas Kwami Kani, murdered Ishmael Abdullah to Judge Rosemond Agyiri.

They smoked Indian Hemp (Wee) and fell asleep the night before the murder, the minor testified in court.

The two desperate youngsters had made contact with a fetish priest they had seen on TV. A human body and Ghc 5,000 were the priest’s requests.

According to him, their first goal was to kidnap “his friend” and demand Ghc5,000 from his family as ransom.

Felix revealed that they were set to abduct their target on the Wednesday before the murder on April 3, 2021, but that Ishmael Abdullah’s mother called her son, and that they were not able to take him as they intended.

The 15-year-old informed the court that on the day of the event, he convinced the victim that his accomplice had gotten a new video game and ordered him to follow him to Nicholas’ house so they could play it.

Nicholas was there waiting for them when they arrived at the incomplete building, the youngster claimed, and he helped the victim climb inside the room.

“When we arrived, Nicholas informed Ishmael (victim) that the game was in the sack over there, so Nicholas bent down to retrieve it. Nicholas then pounded the back of his head with a club, knocking him unconscious and rendering him speechless. We dragged him closer to us, and Nicholas struck him with the club once more,” he explained.

Despite the fact that the suspect’s sister heard a commotion and came over to see what had happened, she walked nearer the incomplete building, the suspect claims that.

 “I told her it was nothing and she should go back.”

“You, my close friend, why are you doing this to me?” Ishmael Abdullah asked Yaw Anane as he was about to attack him again.

Despite this, he claimed that he hit the victim with the block but that he was still breathing.

After that, the child claimed he brought two shovels and dug a shallow hole before dropping the victim inside.

They added additional sand while he was still alive, he said, because they discovered he was still breathing.

Felix Nyarko reported that he had chosen a different block but heard his mother calling him, so he dropped it and departed the unfinished structure, leaving Nicholas behind.

He later went to get water for his mother, and when he returned, his parents confronted him, asking how he could have done what he did.

The accused recounted the events that led to the discovery of the body in court, as well as how furious residents of the region assaulted them in the aftermath.

On Monday, the prosecution presented the court with exhibits that included one shovel, one spade, a club, pieces of cement block, pictures of sand mixed with blood, investigation caution statements of accused persons, pictures of the deceased, and photographs of the crime scene that they intend to use in the main trial.

“Based on your remarks this afternoon, I believe it is necessary to commit you to stand trial,” the judge said.

On Monday, September 20, 2021, the two are set to appear in court.

In the meantime, the two have acknowledged to murdering a pregnant woman many years ago.
