Last week, Nana Yaa Brefo, a well-known media personality in Ghana, shared her thoughts on the recent online viewership battle between Onua TV’s Mcbrown and UTV’s MzGee.
Nana Yaa Brefo strongly believes that having a large following on social media does not necessarily mean that someone is exceptional at their job or that they are successful and impactful.
In a video she recorded herself Nana Yaa Brefo stated that it is foolish and immature for Ghanaians to compare two successful women in the media industry.
Instead, Nana Yaa Brefo thinks that Ghanaians should be celebrating the success of these two women and their leadership in the media landscape.
However, not everyone agrees with Nana Yaa Brefo’s opinion. Kevin Taylor, another media personality, criticized her for being jealous of Mcbrown’s success.
Kevin Taylor believes that if someone claims that Facebook views are not important, then they are not as intelligent as they think they are because views are necessary for impact.
He also insulted Nana Yaa Brefo calling her a low-IQ woman who only knows how to shout on the radio and make useless comments.
Nana Yaa Brefo, another media personality, was also criticized by Kevin Taylor.
