Pastor Eastwood Anaba, the founder and leader of Fountain Gate Chapel, has described how former President John Dramani Mahama extended assistance to Pastor Mensa Otabil when he was in need.
Pastor Dr. Mensa Otabil, the founder of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), is one of the well-known pastors who spoke out against the John Mahama administration from 2012 to 2016.
He was labeled as an NPP member who was using his church lectures to push for votes for then-NPP candidate and current President Nana Akuffo Addo.
Years later, it has come to light that, despite everything he did and said about former President John Mahama, he offered him assistance when he needed it, without regard for what he had said about him and his government.
According to Pastor Eastwood Anaba, he was in Lagos when Pastor Mensa Otabil contacted him, saying he was in terrible distress and needed his assistance immediately because it was a matter of life and death.
One of Mensa-Otabil’s pastors was apparently involved in a car accident in Nandom and was critically injured.
Pastor Eastwood Anaba went on to claim that Mensa-Otabil informed him that the situation was critical, that they needed to transport the pastor to Accra for treatment, and that he (Eastwood Anaba) should contact the government (John Mahama) to request that a flight be sent to Nandom to pick up his pastor.
Following their chat, he called John Mahama, who promised to assist him in thirty minutes. However, John Mahama handled the problem in ten minutes by calling the Air Force commander to arrange for a flight to transport the pastor from Wa to Accra.
