“Will you give weed to your son to smoke?” Netizens blast Dumelo for calling for weed legalization in Ghana
Some of John Dumelo’s Twitter followers have been passionately opposed to a tweet he made in which he questioned why tobacco cigarettes are permitted but marijuana is not.
Marijuana for personal use is still banned in Ghana, despite the fact that experts believe it is a versatile herb that generates a lot of income for countries that cultivate it.
Dumelo’s query came as the Police Service reported today that a “weed” syndicate had been captured in Ashaiman.
Some of Dumelo’s fans disagree with him, with some even asking if he would let his son smoke for a week.
Take a look at some of the rebuttals.
Marijuana issues, like LGBT issues, are two of Ghana’s most divisive societal concerns, with people’s attitudes mainly divided whenever they arise.
