Adu Safowaa, a troubled celebrity, has slammed Yvonne Nelson for seeking to gather money from Ghanaians to support someone who is already wealthy beyond measure.
How can you raise funds for someone who has everything, she says?
Beverly Afaglo has launched a Go Fund Me account with actress Yvonne Nelson to raise $20,000 for her.
After her house burned down Monday night, Afaglo, the wife of Ghanaian musician Choirmaster, has lost her home.
She claims she lost everything in the fire, including her clothes, jewelry, shoes, and handbags.
She and her famous friends are now pleading with Ghanaians to assist her out by publishing a Mobile Money number and a bank account, followed by a Go Fund Me page.
Ghanaians are perplexed as to how two celebrities who boast about their wealth now require financial assistance following a single catastrophe.
Beverly Afaglo previously claimed that her father was a wealthy chief who gave her many houses to rent out, as we previously reported. She also stated that she and her husband are both wealthy.
So the obvious question is: how can you expect impoverished Ghanaians to assist a wealthy individual simply because of a single tragedy?
That’s the question Adu Safowaa is posing on Instagram this morning.
She wrote: “Who are those raising funds and for what? How do you raise funds for someone who claims to have everything? Everyone has WAHALA. Who should go rebuild someone’s family home? Stop pls!”
She added: “This can be done among friends or family…. Not social media ….. Some of us sacrifice for about 5 people in our dm almost every week. Work hard aaaa , people will be chasing celebrity tag… hmmm boi. People re suffering in here… So u guys should make us Think 🤔”
