As Nana Ama McBrown’s mysterious absence from United Showbiz continues, social media is buzzing with rumors and conspiracy theories.
When Yvonne Nelson was introduced as a guest host for last Saturday’s episode, speculation began as to whether McBrown would be dropped from the show.
Some fans speculated that McBrown’s absence from the show may have been related to her absence from Despite’s 60th birthday celebrations.
McBrown attempted to assuage suspicions by sharing the show’s flier with Yvonne Nelson, the host, and wishing them luck.
As a result, everyone assumed that everything was OK and that McBrown would return to work this weekend.
Not so fast, the show’s flier for this week’s episode has appeared, and McBrown is not the host.
This time, actor John Dumelo would be the host, and will be joined regular panelists A-Plus, Bulldog, and Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, as well as Matilda Asare and Nana Akua Addo, as guest hosts.
Something appears to be seriously awry somewhere at this time, since McBrown’s reassignment raises severe concerns.
Producers may be testing a new format with the rotating guest-host arrangement, and if it proves successful, will McBrown be replaced?
The questions are being posed, and only time will reveal the answers.
It should be noted, however, that McBrown has been rumored to be having problems with the program on numerous occasions, yet she has always returned.
