What a cold world: Two men k!ll their elder brother after he assaulted their mother over food

After responding to a distress call from their mother, two men, 29-year-old Pascaliano Odhiambo and 19-year-old Bonventure Ouma, were arrested in Kenya for assaulting their elder brother to the point of death.

The deceased, identified as Juma, was said to have arrived home drunk around 8:00 p.m. and demanding food from their mother. When notified that the food was not ready, he unleashed a barrage of strikes and kicks on his helpless mother, leaving her crying in agony for her life.

His siblings were spurred by the woman’s screams to beat him cruelly before going to bed.

Despite having been assaulted by him the night before, Juma’s mother awoke on Thursday, September 23 and walked towards his residence to check on him. She informed the local authorities after discovering him dead on the doorstep of his house, with a large cut on his head and just above the left ear, and they dispatched investigators from Butula, Busia county.

A machete, jembe, and rungu, thought to be the murder weapons, were discovered at the crime scene and documented and collected by Busia-based crime scene investigators. As a result, the two brothers were apprehended and taken to the Bumala police station to be processed and arraigned in court.
