When media personality Mzgee brought her the good news that funds had been secured to pay her medical bills, veteran actress Kumiwaa could not hold back her tears.
Maame Kumiwaa was one of a long list of veteran Ghanaian entertainers who couldn’t afford their medical bills and had come out to ask for help.
The actress took a unique approach to request assistance. In an interview with Mzgee, she stated that she would rather die in pain than be subjected to insults from Ghanaians.
Maame Kumiwaa’s cries moved many people on social media, and the good news is that she has been found.
This weekend, the television personality returned to her home and gave the veteran GHc5000 to help with her hospital bills and upkeep.
Mzgee believes that Ghc4000 should be used to offset her outstanding medical bill and Ghc1000 should be used as upkeep money in the meantime.
She explained that the money came from the CEO of Nguvu Holdings and that it was one of many to come.
Kumiwaa broke down in tears after receiving the money and thanked Mzgee and the CEO, Madam Angela, for assisting her.
