Dennis Nana Dwamena, better known as Kidi, had high aspirations of winning the overall Artiste Of The Year award yesterday night, but he fell short by a hair.
Despite winning three important awards that night, he had his sights set on the top prize — not just for himself, but for Kuami Eugene, Adina, Medikal, and Joe Mettle as well.
The Artiste of the Year award at the 22nd VGMA Show went to gospel vocalist Diana Antwi Hamilton at the end of the night.
Many were surprised, and Kidi, who had his sights on the award, was unable to contain his emotions after losing.
After losing the Artiste of the Year Award, Kidi was seen in a viral video storming out of the Accra International Conference Center like a Terminator on a mission.
Kidi’s usage of the words “I will be back” as if he was going to win the Artiste of the Year Award is also making Twitter users giggle.
Trolls created a wonderful flyer for the kid, identifying him as the first Ghanaian entertainer to appear in the Terminator franchise.
The 22nd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards were full of glitz, glam, and controversy.
On the red carpet, celebrities like Okyeame Kwame, Elikem the tailor, Giovanni Caleb, Sika Osei, Anita Akufo, Andy Dosty, and Hajia4real were killed or bombed.
