Viewer’s Discretion: Watch As Nana Aba Anamoah Takes Us To The Mortuᾶry

Nana Aba Anamoah, a journalist for GhOne Television, couldn’t stand the sad scenes captured and filed by her colleague.

As she walked us through the mortuary video documentary produced by Godwin Asediba, she described the entire experience as “completely heartbreaking.”

“Take a few minutes to view the sorry state of our mortuaries and the poor working conditions for our employees. This one is heartbreaking. This report was written by Godwin Asediba.” Nana Aba Anamoah posted a status update on Facebook.

A large number of dead bodies could be seen piled up like sardines in the video, which was shot inside the Korle bu Teaching Hospital mortuary.

Those who had been in the mortuary for an extended period of time with no one coming to claim them were scattered on various beds. House flies could be seen buzzing around the mortuary’s hundreds of dead bodies.

Aside from the mortuary’s sorry and disorganized state, the attendants complained bitterly about poor working conditions, including low pay.

A baby who had died and been brought inside the mortuary could be seen lying on the bare floor, covered in flies.

“Seeing the dead baby with flies almost entering his mouth made me cry,” Godwin Asediba could be heard in the background of the video, which Nana Aba Anamoah shared.
