A courageous girl born with a condition that causes her heart to develop outside of her chest has stated that she will not be held back by her condition.
Virsaviya Borun-Goncharova, 12, was born with a condition known as the Pentalogy of Cantrell.
During her mother’s pregnancy, it caused her rib cage and abdominal muscles to not form properly. She now shares her condition, lifestyle, and passions with her followers to demonstrate that it has not held her back and will not prevent her from pursuing her dreams.
“My condition is called Pentalogy of Cantrel, and it basically means that my heart is outside of my ribcage,” Virsaviya explained. So it’s no longer protected by my rib cage. I’d like to push the boundaries of what I can and cannot do in order to inspire others. I want people to understand that I am more than just my heart; I am beautiful in my own right. And you are as well.”
