Majid Michel, who lost his mother eight years ago, has opened up about how the experience affected his life as a Christian.
Given their strong bond, the actor described his mother’s death as one of the most painful occasions in his life.
The well-known actor confessed that he chose to take God seriously in order to fulfill his mother’s dream.
“My mother introduced me to pastors and wanted me to be grounded in the faith and so I took it upon myself to honor her through that,” he told Afia Amankwa Tamakloe on the M’ashyase3 show.
Despite his sorrow, Mr. Michel says it helped him go on a soul-searching journey to better grasp Christianity and God’s presence.
“In 2014, I decided to look for God and after eight years, I know that there is God” he stated.
Following his spiritual awakening, Majid claims to have realized that the ultimate goal for every human being on the planet is to locate God and create a connection with him.
Paulina Olympio, the famed actor’s mother, died in October 2014 at the Ghana Canada Hospital in East Legon, Accra.
She was 63 years old.
