Video: Despite teaching for 30 years I wasn’t able to build a house – Retired Ghanaian teacher cries
Despite working for three decades, a retired Ghanaian teacher stated that he was unable to purchase land for herself.
In an interview with Ghanian professional teacher and comedian Teacher Kwadwo, she stated that she was unable to obtain anything useful throughout his years of working.
According to her, despite her efforts and years of commitment and service to Ghana, she and other teachers were underpaid.
She stated that because of her meager earnings, she could not afford to build a house or a business and that if one does not marry someone who is doing better financially in life, that person will not be able to build anything worth celebrating.
She did, however, clarify that, in addition to teaching, one should establish a side business to supplement their income.
