After being caught red-handed “chopping” down the newlywed bride of his pastor, a church elder was excommunicated by the church council for his heinous behavior.
They had been dating, according to insiders, for a while prior to the woman’s marriage to the pastor, but that didn’t stop them from seeing each other in strange places, including movie theaters, until their plan was discovered by a tip-off.
When the church council summoned Mercy Igbo, 32, the lady at the center of everything, she revealed that she had consented to marry the pastor because he had money and met all of the requirements and that she had abandoned her boyfriend, who happened to be an elder of the church, in order to marry the pastor.
It was revealed that the pastor’s wife, who had been married to him for one year, was adamant about not giving birth because the pastor had failed to satisfy her sexually. It is believed that the pastor had a problem with his virility, which made it difficult for him to conceive her.
The lady began to show an interest in his ex-boyfriend, and the two began to have an affair in secret, with Adenuga sneaking into the woman’s home and sleeping with her while the pastor was away on business.
During the night, the pastor traveled to another church, where he was expected to preside over the following day’s Sunday service before their cover was blown off by the weather conditions.
The wife had already informed Adenuga that her husband had traveled and that the two of them would be spending the night together at the pastor’s house, as was customary at this time of year.
Interestingly, when the pastor returned, he discovered that Adenuga and his wife had fallen in love, which sparked a feud between Adenuga and the preacher over ownership of the woman.
