“UCC students did not beat me, it was a small misunderstanding”- Kelvyn Boy
Kelvyn Boy, an afrobeats performer, has denied reports that he was manhandled at a recent performance at Cape Coast University.
In an interview with Joy Entertainment, the ‘Down Flat’ singer explained that what was shown in the viral video was not what it seemed.
“It wasn’t the way you saw it. People were saying I was being harassed. I wasn’t harassed.”
The singer claimed that the show’s organizers wanted him to perform later, but he wanted to do so right away because he had another show.
“They wanted me to perform later but I wanted to perform that moment and go for another show. That was the misunderstanding.”
He did say, though, that “it wasn’t something major” because the problem had been “resolved.”
A video leaked on the internet around four days ago that appeared to show the fast-rising music singer being prevented from leaving the UCC campus by several security agents.
