“TV3 have been chasing me for 3 years to work with them but I told them to take it cool”- Captain Smart

Captain Smart, an ace broadcaster, explains that Media General’s executives had been pursuing him for the past three years and he finally accepted to work with them.

TV3, Onua FM, and Onua TV are all owned by Media General.

Captain Smart has joined Media General, according to latest reports, after announcing his resignation from his previous media company, Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN)

On Tuesday, June 1, he was introduced on TV3’s New Day broadcast.

From Monday to Friday, he will anchor the Morning Show on Onua Fm/TV.

Captain Smart recently stated on his new television station, Smart TV, that he has resigned from Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN).

Meanwhile, Captain Smart has said that Media General has been pursuing him to join them for the past three years, but he has repeatedly told the management to relax.

He was interviewed on Alfred Ocansey’s morning show, “Sunrise,” on 3 FM 92.7, when he revealed that he had been in talks with Beatrice Agyemang, the Kanda-based conglomerate’s Group Chief Executive Officer, for years.

It’s been on about three years now that Beatrice Agyemang had wanted me to join the team, in the latter part of 2018. And then I said she should take it cool with me, And she didn’t stop, she kept pushing. And then, I met her in 2019. Last year in February, I met her at Afrikiko, And then this year, she called me again and said Captain Smart, I still want you to join the brand.’ and I said ‘don’t worry, it will be possible one day, So we finalized the whole thing about a week ago. I should have started last Monday but I said, take it easy
