Serwaa Amihere has finally admitted though social media trolls are harsh, they played a vital role in molding her into the better person she is today.
Speaking with Joy FM on the Strong and Sassy Show, The Ace GHOne broadcaster stated that she used to allow the criticism she receives to pull her down until she found out a way to make it a reason she to better.
She had to motivate herself every morning, continuously for the past two months, that she can actually do her job well thanks to social media trolls.
According to Serwaa Amihere, when she looks at her career now, she can boldly assert that the progress of it is based on the way people keep on bashing her when she is at fault.
The host of GHOne TV’s morning show, also revealed that she had to sometimes leave some interviews for her male co-host to handle because of trolls which she was afraid of.
“After the budget, I said that ‘no Lantam go and do it, I will stay back and watch’. There have been times where I had to call George Wiafe (of Joy Business) and say ‘you need to take me through this’.”
“But, in the morning when I get to work and I want to do the interview, there is something telling me when you make the slightest mistake, people will come for you so let the man do it,” she said.
Serwaa Amihere added that she is trolled basically because she is a female, the situation is different for her male co-host.
“I am treated differently because I am a woman. I am trolled on social media for being an airhead and for not being the smartest person like it happened with the recent Kojo Oppong Nkrumah interview,” she told the host, Animwaa Anim Addo.
