Antony Rafiq Khan[1] is an American businessman, promoter, and sports executive best known for his involvement in American football, professional wrestling, and soccer. He is best known as the founder and co-owner of All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he also serves as president, chief executive officer, general manager, and executive producer.
He is the son of Shahid Khan, the owner of the National Football League’s (NFL) Jacksonville Jaguars and Premier League club Fulham.
He is an executive at both organizations, serving as chief football strategy officer for the Jaguars and vice-chairman and director of football operations for Fulham.
Tony Khan was born in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, to Pakistani-American father Shahid Khan and an American mother Ann Carlson on October 10, 1982. Through his ownership of Flex-N-Gate, which supplied car bumpers, his father became a billionaire in the automotive industry. He has a sister named Shanna as well. Tony earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University Laboratory High School in 2001 and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2007.
Khan joined the Jacksonville Jaguars as Senior Vice President of Football Technology and Analytics in July 2012, following his father’s purchase of the team.
After a Twitter spat with Khan in April 2020, then-Jaguars defensive end Yannick Ngakoue referred to him as “spoiled.” Ngakoue was later dealt to the Minnesota Vikings.
